Comparing thermal vs. non-thermal fan clutch

For a high performance Pontiac, would the standar, factory thermal fan clutch always be the way to go for optimum cooling? Or are there any instances where a non-thermal clutch can cool better?

non-thermal is purely speed related regardless of temperature, cheaper but not better

x2. fixed fans were replaced and upgraded for several good reasons. engineers knew what they were doing

By fixed fan do you mean flex fan as on my 68GTO?

Pontirag 06-09-2011 04:51 AM

yes, typo on my part, flex fans are not the answer
