Where to find 15X7 Trim Rings
OK, help....
Where does one find good quality 15X7 Rally II early style trim rings? Charles |
I believe someone has a set for sale under the parts for sale forum...now.:)

Yeah, I had seen those before. Fellow had 2 posts and I replied to one before.
|
Has anyone bought either of these? Do they have the early edge, instead of the rolled one? Do they fit right?

Thanks, Charles |
:attentionSorry about that:doh:

Not to worry. Thanks anyhow for trying.
Ames tells me theirs is only 2 1/4" deep. Chinese. PY says 2 3/4" deep, but don't know if that's vertical or angled measurement. American. :noidea: :noidea: |
I'm looking for a set also for 15x7 HM code Rally II that I am putting on a 67 GTO....trying to get them as deep as possible...any help is greatly appreciated
|
Still hunting. I'll let you know if I find some.
|
Did you try Coker?
|
The deep style trim rings were repro'ed to use on the 15x8 Corvette wheels. There are 3 or four versions out there in repro land. 2 1/2" & 3" deep versions. These are what you often see guys running on '73+ Pontiac 15x7 rally II's to make them look more aggressive than the factory brushed (pickup truck) trim rings
I have yet to find an exact aftermarket match to the '70-72 Pontiac 15" trim ring. The nicest repro version seems to have the wrong shaped valve stem holes, not like the few nos ones I have for my '72 T/A. |

Do you have a source? Charles |
Charles, sorry about that! I'm so excited about my first social security check next month that I forgot where I saw them. I did look on the parts place and saw several options.

That's OK, you tried.
Hang in there, it'll get easier to put up with when you get used to no more raises! Charles |
Yep, I sure Hope it'll Change. LOL

Well, the best I could do on these trim rings is these.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/230704695581...S:1123&vxp=mtr Lee, "Tempest" on this board bent over backwards trying to help me by pestering two vendors up in Canada for weeks. THANK YOU LEE! In the long run, all leads seem to come up short so far. Bought these and I can't say I'm disappointed, but if a set of rings this deep with a stepped edge comes up, these are for sale. Charles |
Those are nice looking trim rings. I had been wondering the last couple of days if you had come up with anything yet. I think you did well. I need to get set like that for my 14 x 6's.
|
Arby,
I am thinking I'll let my 14" rings go soon. Let me know if you are interested. Charles |
