Serious question for the power adder guys

Do you guys get you Omaha Steaks 1 or 2 weeks before Christmas from your engine builders and piston companies??? :jumping:

Had lunch with punisher1 today and had a steak, he paid for the meal :) And at the table was his brother and a close friend of ours, both of which are heads-up 10.5 nitrous racers.

HAR HAR HAR
Didnt hurt a piston on my old motor spraying it for 3 years.

punisher#1 12-10-2011 09:31 PM

235 hard nitrous passes
4 area championships
20+ wins
and ZERO burned pistons with the pontiac engine from 2007-2009 using my own tune-ups
NITROUS DOESN'T KILL MOTORS, POOR TUNE-UPS KILL MOTORS.
it doesn't matter how fast it is, it will ALWAYS be faster with a little help in the right place.

I can officially have a "Steak Dinner" with each Boost Vendor every 3 months.

There are several of them that I deal with: Borg Warner, Garrett, Vortech, Gale Banks, Paxton, Whipple, MHI, IHI, John Meany (Big Stuff3) as well as other smaller companies.

Never had any of them send me Omaha Steaks but have had all of them take me out for very nice lunches over the years. Banks like Mexican. The Vortech/Paxton Guys like eating at the Dearborn Inn and having steaks, John Meany likes the food at JOBOs. Several liked to dine at Henry Ford's Home in the "Pool Restaurant" (but that is closed now for restoration).

I would think that the "Gov-ment Jobs" you do would have Omaha Steaks, nice hotel rooms with HRH "Hot Running Hookers" and tubs full of beer for you and champagne for the "ladies", John.

I think John was hitting the sauce a little early tonight...and I don't mean A-1.

I've been running a blown motor since 1990, never burned a piston. I do like steak's too Thanks Rusty

Last year they flew us all out to Ted Nugent’s ranch and let us pick what we wanted, I still have some buffalo left in the freezer.

Exceeding 1100 hp is just tooooooo scary. Nobody should try that.

FYI: our engine builder is us.

The "what" part is pretty easy to get....it's a slam on power adders. Duh.

But.....guilty as charged........I'll confess that I don't get the "why" of your thread.

In the past, the piston company had them delivered well before Christmas, the engine builders not so much.

Hmmmm...ok...I'll try to make this a little simpler by asking a direct question.

"Why" do you (hate/dislike/get annoyed by) power adder projects?

Eric

Brian Baker 12-11-2011 01:31 PM

I don't think John "hates" them, Eric...he's just stirring the pot.

Badbird69 12-11-2011 03:00 PM

Langer, you've spent more money with uncle Tony, torque converters and transmissions than all the Pontiac power adder guys' pistons combined. You gettin' any steaks from them?

No... but I go faster more consistantly. :jumping: Lets see a show of hands of people that first hand benifited from my motor, trans or converter testing.

I respect power adder combos... you know, the ones that actually go fast. :)
