rust preventative and paint for the sub-frame/fire wall/rad support

in the summer I took a wire wheel to the subframe, firewall and rad support to clean off the surface rust. Well it is back because I didn't seal it in time.

So I am wondering what product you would recommend I spray over it after I clear off the recent surface rust to prevent this from happening again?

And on top of that I want to paint the rad support, sub-frame, and firewall all a semi-gloss black. I don't have a sprayer or anything so it would have to be of the brush variety or rattle can.

Looking for suggestions in best way to de-resust and paint or product suggestions for the job.

Thanks!

Since I found out about this stuff, I use it all the time.

very similar issue here. I would neutralize the rust with the phosphoric acid, clean it off with surface prep and spray with a rattle can of rustoleum. Its the same product inside the cans that is in the quarts of rustoleum! Lots of guys shoot the rad. support and frame with rustoleum, its a good paint. I would prime it first, with primer in a rattle can. You will get better results with a rattle can than a paint brush.

thanks guys, someone had also recommended I use brake caliper paint but I haven't looked into that yet.
