Just in case anyone is checking this out..............the only way i could get that pic smaller, was i mailed it to myself, then put in in my pics, then sent it here,

Have you tried posting one before using a resizing program? Have you tried taking pics using the different sizes in camera menu?

Held.........the 1st pic was with Irfanview...............im still trying to figure out how to see the different sizes in the camera menu...........couldn"t find anything in the instructions.

One thing for sure i never had these problems with the old kodak. LOL

Been playing around with the windows live photo gallery.........seems i can downsize them from there........i threw up a few in the test & tune. Seems everything is ok with all my pics, only have to make them smaller for PY, otherwise good.

Ok, seen some say 600X480 is working for posting on forum

Heres a 1600X1200 pic, lets see if it works..........maybe this pic is the reason im always having problems on the puter. LOL

Ok, i think i finally got it now

Rich, when you "attach" the picture to your post, it's always gonna show up as a thumbnail in the thread (like your pics above).

If you store the pic on another site (like photobucket, imageshack, etc.), you can just copy and paste a link to that photo in your post and the pic will show up at whatever size you uploaded to that site. (If you resize to 640x480 on your computer before you save it on photobucket, that's the size that will show in the thread. If you resize to 1600x1200 before you save, that's what will show on the page.)

The line you put in your thread will look something like:
[img ]http://www.somephotostoragesite.c0m/albumname/picturename.jpg[ /img]

The live picture will then load in your post like this: (Thanks to goatmanmitch; I borrowed the pic you posted in your test thread.)
