Value on 77 formula 400 4 speed
I have a chance to get a original 77 formula with a 400 and a 4 speed, factory air car. Its white and gold and is completely unmolested and rust free. What is a average price to pay for one? I can snag this one for 5000$ book shows value at 13k in average shape.

That sounds like a great deal if the car is like you say rust free. Those cars are pretty rare and for 5k in my opnion its a good investment to keep or sell later.
Your price comparison is fair at 11-14 depending how clean and how it runs drives. For that money you can afford to throw some improvement and safety bucks at it. |
5000 grand seems like a fair price to me but I dont know what book puts it at 13k.Everybody still wants a trans am more and they only pull around that amount in fair shape unless its a bandit car.

Nada is the book, it's been sitting in a shop for years so it'll need the standard stuff to get it going. He says it has the T/a motor which I thought was the 400? Higher compression?

77 t/a 6.6 is the 200 HP Pontiac engine. Remember, the 6.6 liter was the olds 403.

From what I'm looking at on it I think it's a w-72 car if that makes a difference. I'm not a f-body guy all my research has been on my 65 gto so any and all info is helpful
