I swapped from HS to PPR 1.65 rockers. Very nice set and a lot less noisy. Thanks Ace for a nice rockers at a great price!

Are they a true 1.65?

Man, that exhaust on #5 has got me worried. Maybe the pic shows worse than it really is? That poly lock is close to the end of the slot at full lift.

Guess I'm not used to looking at highport heads.looks like a lot of rocker travel on the valves..probably just the picture.

Banditogto 07-04-2012 05:23 PM

I have a set of the PPR stainless rockers on my Edelbrock RPM's, and I've noticed recently while doing a valve adjustment, that they have some side to side play at the fulcrum point after only about 40 passes. Like the needle bearings have worn. Anyone else seen this?

GOAT WHORE 07-04-2012 08:22 PM

Are they the same as PRW's?

Banditogto 07-05-2012 12:46 AM

Yes, actually they are the PRW's. First set of aluminum PRW's I bought fell apart. SD Performance was nice enough to make me a deal on the stainless, but I think I'll stay clear of the PRW brand in the future.

DONT talk **** about a product in my thread! Start your own thread for that.

GOAT WHORE 07-05-2012 07:33 PM

If we can't talk about the product you mentioned what are we supposed to do, just look at your post and nod our heads in agreement? What good is this forum if only people in agreement with you can take part? I for one have and like PRW's and have bought and like Ace but come on Aldolf!

You are contradicting yourself. While you are satisfied with the product, now you are creating friction ....

GOAT WHORE 07-06-2012 01:14 AM

How is that contradicting? I like the product but want to hear other peoples experiences.

SergeF 07-06-2012 01:20 AM

He had problems with 2 sets. Something is not right there...

Yah, I take what I read hear with a grain of salt. Not at all saying I agree with him just that this thread is about PRW rockers and should be able to be discussed hear. I got mine from Dave at SD Performance and if Dave says he has had good luck with them, well good enough for me.

Banditogto 07-06-2012 10:13 AM

Not attempting to bash or talk **** as you put it about anyone, or any product. Simply stating my experiences using them. They may work fine for others, and possibly my spring pressures are a little much for these. I don't know yet. What works for one combination doesn't always work for another. Just saying that maybe I need to try something different because so far I haven't had much luck with these. Maybe you have.

I have nothing against those who sell these either. Dave at SD performance was, and has always been great with me, and has always gone out of his way to help me. I have nothing but respect for him and SD. Nothing against ACE either.

I guess all this time I had it wrong. I though that was what these forums were all about. Teaching and learning from each other by sharing experiences. I know I have learned quite a bit on here, and I for one am grateful to those who share their thoughts and knowledge.

I hope you enjoy your rockers, and they work out for you.

Those PPR's look very similar to the CAT's I have. If they're the same, I agree, they're nice pieces.
