May have located a 69
Hi there, I am not into Judges like most so, do not come here often but, did find this 69 and I think it looks real to me.
Wanted to share the pics and see what others think. http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...lekrate/jj.jpg With all the color shown in the drip rail and inside doors, etc, seems to give it away. http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...ekrate/jjj.jpg It does have the wing, ram air manifolds. forgot the trans but, think it is an auto. I found it in early March and it is still sitting there is a fairly busy area. It has not moved. Looks like something pulled out of a barn that was used well into the 70s and then put away. http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...krate/jjjj.jpg either way, it is an interesting find. What do you guys think of this car? |
That's a cool find Steve. That would be a fun project even if not a real judge. I'd be interested in it. (I like the reflection of your 66 in the window).
|
I like it! It looks like it was time warped from the 70s. Im diggin the side pipes!
|
Looks like a 4 speed knob in the 1st pic.
PHS would be the best to see if it is a true Judge. Looks like a great project, though. And the header/sidepipes are cool. :) |
69 Judge?
I think I see some parchment soft trim above the door glass. Looks pretty cool, keep on investigating!
|
Steve, Is the car even available for sale? Definetly looks like it could be a real Judge. Lord knows I have found them in stranger places.
|
I say buy it and then send for the PHS.

Very cool Steve. While not 100 percent fool proof, a quick check of the body tag for a paint code of 72-72 will narrow that car down to either a Judge or an even rarer special order paint car...
|
That's could be the start of a cool AZ rat rod!

I like those side pipes :) I didn't even know they made 'm for Pontiac A-bodies like that. cool stuff..
|
I guess this post is old. What happened?
You could check for the ram air cable hole in the firewall and measure the trunk rod diameters. Probably have the PHS by now. That first picture is cool. |

What happened? nothing, have not even thought about it. There are no for sale signs on the car and the way it is parked, I figure the guy knows what he has and just wants a conversation piece. I have not been through there since then but, am going through there today to promote my August car show in the area. If it is still there, will put an event flyer on it. Have PHS now? why would I want to spend $75 on someone elses car? Am not that curious. I saw the car originally in Feb on a snowboarding trip. It was still sitting there in June. It's in a visible area, I cannot be the only one who has seen it. |
