It's about 4:15 in the afternoon and it's 104 on KXAN Austins News and over 100 here in Giddings. You bet I'm inside in the air-conditioning.

It's in the low 80's here (coolest day in a while- was 50's this morning)- Heat wave is due tomorrow... When I think it's hot and start to complain I stop and think about the miserable cold and snow and I feel a whole lot better about the heat!

Humidity only 16% .. not killer but sure is hot! Its the humidity that just doubles me over

Remind us how nasty it is in about 6 months when we're shoveling white stuff and you're still cruising around with the top down.

one thing certain; when i was young(r) i was all about the heat, with water skiing, camping etc, anything outdoors. still love the outdoors but now being 50, i shockingly find myself enjoying the cool weather better. warm weather sure, hot weather (anything over 95) forget it, i'll take the snow. a warm garage during winter with a football game on while workin on the GTO is very relaxin!
me and my wife walk at least 2 to 4 miles everyday and have for going on 8 years now. today as always we grabbed our frozen water bottles and walked over 2 miles on the hot kansas gravel roads and its 105 today. decided no more! walking at 8:30pm starting tommorow. even saw a coyote runnin for the shady woods accross the wheat field. no doubt hoping i left the chicken coop door open! lol :usa2: |
84 degrees here this evening.....40% humidity!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL......here's the forecast for Thursday; 102 degrees and 60% humidity.
