1969 convertible question

I have a 1969 Gto with what looks like a never touched convertible top frame that is painted a blue that matches my original interior color. It is a Baltimore car with 10-21-68 build according to the phs. The car is Warwick blue, blue int , blue top, according to the phs and the trim tag. The top frame is blue all the way through, and I have scraped some spots and can't find black paint anywhere. It seems to be one coat of color over metal.
Were there colors put on top frames besides black at the factory ? Just wondering. Thx, Craig

Post up some pictures for us Craig - yes some were done this way but almost none of them have survived!

My 68 Firebird came with a teal blue top. A previous owner changed to top to white, but left the top frame blue. Can't say with certainty that the blue paint on the top frame is original, but it sure looks that way.
