Correct Color for Valley pan (and other under the hood items) on 1971 Formula

I just ordered a new Valley pan for my 71 Formula. I was wondering if they came painted from the factory? I've always painted mine in the past. But wasn't sure if this was correct.

Also does anyone know where I can find all the correct paint/plating colors for everything under the hood?

Thanks
Dave

Here's a link to engine colors/by year. Valley pan was same color as engine and painted at engine factory in 71.

Thanks Bruce. I'm all set with the correct color. Just wasn't sure if the valley pan got painted or not. Because, the new one is plated in a gold like color.

Also not sure what the correct color is for the core support, inner fenders, firewall, suspension components, steering box, hood hinges. I've seen it done so many ways. The guy doing the body work on my car painted everything flat black. And I don't like it. I've always done it in semi gloss. And I think the steering box and hood hinges should be some kind of gray. I don't know what shade of gray or where to buy it.

Always manage your own restoration....this includes babysitting any body shop, as 99% do not do restorations, and they absolutely hate doing mechanical work ( installing windows in doors, installing front end components...etc and will often use "whatever" hardware)
flat black is rare, most is semi gloss, and you may be able to over coat the flat black.

Best thing to do really is take a look at the sticky threads up top of this 70-73 forum, tons of pictures of cars being restored will give you your answers. There was some differences between Norwood, and Calif plants on primer, but that's about it.
Good luck!
