Pulling body off the frame-72 Lemans
 

Well figured while I'm low on cash at the moment, I can start doing cheap stuff like disassembly and since my LeMans is pretty much a shell right now, mind as well.

The frame will need some patching around the crossmember section and a little in front of it. I cut a section from a parts car to weld it in as well.

Now with just jack stands and a floor jack is there a way to do this? I would like to be able to roll the frame out from under it and move it outside so I have room to work on it come spring and in the meantime work on the floors and trunk work.

Just needing instructions I guess in best way to tackle this. I've had this car stripped down the first time I restored it as far as I could minus pulling the frame. Just want to fix this car right this time

Cinder blocks, some 4X4 wooden beams (or something similar like rail road ties, box tubing, etc.), invite a few friends over and lift up each end to slide the beams under. Have done several like this, always works well for me. About to do this to a friend's 72' Lemans soon. The body is unbolted and the car is mostly stripped of everything but the dash.

I use an engine hoist and raise the front...then the rear...see my GS Stage 1 resto articles and you will see the car bodies sitting on cinder blocks and 8 ft long 4x4 lumber...not difficult...just a lil time consuming.

Pictures 6 and 7 show the body as stated above...then slip the frame out.
