Auto Repair Shop in Florida?
 

I am need of a good auto repair shop in St. Petersburg Florida area. My stepdaughter moved down there and is having problems getting things fixed on her 99 malibu.

Ok how about a shop that would be even a short drive for her?

My sister is single, lives in St. Pete. I'm waiting to hear back from her to see what she knows. She has my Dad's '46 Packard and I know she has had somebody work on it from time to time. Her daily driver is a Camry, not sure she's needed more than oil changes for it.

But I will post anything I learn from her.

What kind of repair issues is your step-daughter having?

Thanks John that would be great. She has a few small things that need done. The biggest issue is a coolant leak. Not sure where though. Car was in good shape when she moved down there but without being able to see it's hard to help. It does have the 3.1 and I know it will need the lower intake gasket at some point. It was not leaking before she left out of here. Her boyfriend is young and limited on what he know's but can swing a wrench ok. He and his buddy's are lacking experience on being able to diagnose.

My sister is pretty sharp with cars, worked as a service writer at Sears Auto for a couple years back in the '70s. She isn't easily taken. She's been going to this shop for years. She says she thinks he is fair and doesn't try to sell her stuff she doesn't want. They understand she is on a budget. They will tell her what she really needs and what she can live without.

My call reminded her that she is overdue for an oil change.
