65 gto door glass setting channel
 

Does anyone know where I can buy 65 gto door glass setting channel like the orginal? Ames sells setting channel but it is a flat strip, I've used this but it allows the top raw edge of the channel to show. The orginal channel has a small lip that covers that edge. Ames channel works but I'm hoping someone knows where I can get something closer to the orginal. I hope someone has more experience with this. Thanks for any help!

I had the same problem locating this weather strip rubber for my 65. Flat rubber with no lip just doesn't look right. Looking through an older Steele catalog I came across the extrusion listed under the Cadillac section. Steele part number 70-1693-57 is the rubber weatherstrip that matches the OEM rubber exactly. This only works if you have bolt on lower sashes which I am assuming you also have in your '65. You only have to cut to length and cut in the bolt holes.
