The Vehicle I wish I still had

Loved my ol 78 FJ40 Landcruiser (the BEAST we called it). Owned it 15 years and I only used it for hunting. I had the same tires on it for 15 years. I only put 15000 miles on it and never did a thing but change the oil. What a great strong truck. It went places That I still can't believe. I also pulled out a dozen new trucks out of mud, snow and even two trucks sunk in a creek. lol I would get calls at 4 in the morning, Hey Mazz can you bring the Beast out the woods I'm stuck in a ditch. I always keep tow chains and tow straps in it. I miss that truck and so do all my bonehead friends that need to get towed. I sold it because the body was shot but still ran great. Here is last I seen it as was towed away.:( Now I see a company re-makes these beauties at a hefty price. http://www.icon4x4.com/overview/fj/models

Got to agree with ya there.
I had a 70 Cutlass SX. Factory 455, 4 bbl,400 auto, console, floor shift, buckets. Olds didn't make a lot of em.
The SX was Olds way of flying under the radar of the insurance companys.
Sold it to buy a Vette...aargh !!!

'69 Mustang fastback. 302 3 speed 4:11 rear. Sold it for $1500 in 1983. It cost me my license for a while when I got pulled decelerating from 110 along with other complicating items the State Trooper saw ejected from the passenger side window after I lit it up in all gears and rolled past him while he was doing some paper work in a church parking lot. Must have taken a while for the beam to power up back then since he only got me for 85 after about 2 miles. You can be very happy with a ticket for 85 in certain circumstances. Wouldn't mind being 16 again.

At least I still have the black one.
