Heater Core Ground Wire
I'm in the process of replacing the heater core on my 1978 TA, removed the box assembly from under the dash which contains the heater core, no easy task by the way, just time consuming. I am now in the process of re-assembly, there is a thin ground strap connected to the outside of the box assembly, but I don't recall where the other end of this ground strap attaches. I am thinking it attaches to the heater core bracket itself mounted inside of the under dash box assembly. I don't remember removing this strap from anywhere on the firewall. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

There's a stud that goes through to the firewall side. It gets mounted to that stud.
Here's what's left of mine - it broke on removal. Whoops! http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps95c538fa.jpg Here's the firewall side. Stud is located just below the bottom heater core outlet: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ps100bea82.jpg |
