Oil stain removing driveway stains ?
 

Daughters T/A has a slight oil leak that appears to be the rear oil seal.
Engine is a never rebuilt 71 455 (sans timing chain/gaskets), so it's to be expected.

That being said anyone have any tips on removing oil off the driveway ?
I tried Kitty litter and scraping my shoes across it, which helped but not as good as I'd like.
Used my electric pressure washer (it's a cheapie) & it's still there. :mad:
Any ideas - ?

concrete? muriatic acid.

Believe it or not, I've had pretty good luck with Brakleen.

Wet it, pour some powdered laundry detergent on it, and lightly wet it again so it gets pasty looking. After a half hour, I scub a broom across it and rinse, usually does the job.

try powdered tide. i used on my driveway for some big stains soaked most of it up.i left it on there a couple days then added some water scrubbed then rinsed. came up real clean.

Concrete or asphalt?

Try this
 

Fast Orange hand cleaner. Squirt on the stained area, use a old nylon scrub brush to work it in...let it set per the instructions, then wash it away.

It works best here in the heat of the summer...allows the acid to work faster in my experience.

You results may vary.

Just go to walmart and get some of the cheap carb cleaner. Just spray it and wipe away the stains. Or, as others have said, brake cleaner.

X2. Also had good luck with liquid laundry detergent and a stiff broom.

A friend of mine spilled concentrate pool chlorine in his drive...man, that cleaned the concrete real nice.....lol.

I've used Gum Cutter. It's more powerful than carb cleaner & a lot more powerful than brake clean. Just spray it on concrete and wipe it off. Not sure about asphalt. It may dissolve it?

Try Softsoap.... the hand soap you have in your bathroom. That stuff will take the toughest grease of yer hands so it should work on cement driveways too. I've used to get grease out of my work jeans and t-shirts too.

Same here...I use Fast Orange on greasy clothing worn during working in cars, etc. Spot and pre-cover stains with soap...amazing how zero evidence of grease after washing.
