69 Convertible Wiper Blades

I have noticed that the drivers wiper blade comes in contact (slightly) with the molding. Both of the OE Trico blades are 15" long. I seem to recall reading somewhere that 69 (maybe other years) convertibles had a 14" blade or different blades than the coupe?

What are the correct blades for a 69 Vert and where would I find the best repops?

Thanks

Marc

yes, the convert wiper arm and blade are both shorter than for coupe. They were the same for 67-69, although there is some source saying 67 were chrome and 68-69 were satin. Our host and the other suppliers all carry them, I dont know who is making them. I would guess somebody in Taiwan, I got a pair some months ago and they look decent.

After digging a little deeper last night I read where the convertible has a RH CONV and a LH CONV stamped arms. I went out and measured them and the passenger side is shorter on my car. I am guessing that hen the car was resprayed (1986) the arms were reversed?

I haven't been able to read the backside of the arms to see which is which but that is my guess.

Yes - forgot to tell you they arms are stamped.

The blades on my 69 vert are 15 inch. I never noticed it before, but the drivers side does just barely touch the molding.

I put a mirror under the wiper arms and they have the RH CONV / LH CONV stamps. The RH s on the drivers side.

Anyone know which side goes where?

Everything is labeled like you're sitting in the driver seat. Your arms are reversed.

The blades on my '69 Firebird convertible are 13". Pretty sure they are original.

Spend about six bucks on the proper Lisle or K-D wiper arm removal/install tool. Pops them off and on in seconds, with no damage.
