2000 WS-6?
 

Have a chance to get a silver 2000 Trans AM WS-6, 21,000 miles. Any words of advice, or things to look for before I head down to see it?

Not real familiar with them, so anything will help!

Look for the door tag with the option codes on it.

Just bought a 2000 WS6 Formula, look for bubbles in the roof panel behind the Ttops. GM used a glue that eats through and causes bubbles. Also look for stress at the top of the door panels because the have a tendency to crack.
History is also imperative as these cars get modded, de-modded and then sold. A 21k mile car might not have this problem though.

Check out the window motors for slow play. Mine went bad on my 10000 mile WS6 conv.

Look down the quarter panels from the door back, if you see any warping or small dents the car might have been driven hard. The flexing of body durning hard launches on the drag strip or autocrossing causes the quarters to buckle.

On the flip side check to see if a strut tower brace and/or sub frame connectors were added.

Im not going to get into this. I dont think anyone in their right mind would think that their 2000 WS6 Trans Am with 20K would be worth that little money. Nor would I expect them too.

Assuming there was nothing majorly wring with the car of course.

I have never seen a 2000 WS6 TA with 21k miles for $10k. I just bought a 2000 WS6 6 speed Convertible with 35k miles for $16k and feel like I got a fair deal.

I bought exactly the same car in January but mine is a 1998 and an automatic. I paid $13K and 38k miles. Prices are in line.

I value my 2000 WS6 conv with 10k miles at around 17-20k

What you value it at and what it will sell for are two completely different things. Color and trans can swing the value thousands of dollar!
