Arizona-New Mexico 5th annual Apache County Motorsports Days!
Coming up in a few weeks is my 5th annual Apache County Motorsports Days in St Johns in eastern Arizona!
It is a great time with good music, a chili cook off, burn out contest and more! Friday night, the 23rd is our cruise in show at TLC's Family Kitchen on main st from 6-9pm. I'll be playing some great music from the past and there will be an all you can eat fish fry! Then, on Saturday is the main show/event at the city park 8am-3pm. It is among the nicest settings for a car show anywhere. Entrants have the choice to park on 3rd street ( blocked off from traffic ) or can park in the grass in the shade under huge trees!. Lots of fun and open to all types of vehicels- cars, trucks, performance boats, bikes, off road, race, etc http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...psde5814d1.jpg |
Here is a Pontiac powered 3 window competing in our burnout contest at a previous Apache County Motorsports event!

It all starts tonight with a casual cruise in show at TLCs Family Kitchen in St Johns. Then, in the morning, the main event at the beautiful city park. This eastern Az town has a very warm Midwestern feel to it. You only know you are in Arizona by the license plates. http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...psa1f5c8a1.jpg |
Here is a link to a story I wrote on the event with some pics.
http://www.arizonaautoscene.com/ We were about half the size as last year due to rain that morning but, we all still had a good time! |
Had a great time Steve!!! Even with the rain, can't complain about temps in the 60's in Arizona in August!!!
I think this link may be better to see the writeup. http://www.arizonaautoscene.com/archives/25810# |
