Finally time to work on the GTO, finished up the tail panels
 

I can't believe how much work this took. It will look great back on the car and with the lenses and pull handle back in place.

They look great. Any tips on how to mask off and paint? Did you use pinstripe tape over ribbed area? Also what paint was used?

Nice work, and yes, total PITA. It literally takes days.

Actually, I only masked off the major areas and painted right over the ribs. While the paint was still slightly soft, I scraped the paint off the ribs with my thumbnail.

I had the paint custom blended and thrown in a spray can. It is Marimba Red, a normal metallic body color from 1964.

And with everything installed except for the trim on the lower edge of the trunk lid.
