Im 62 and I can't help but flog the GTO or the Fairlane some every time I drive them, Don't know how you can't run the cars through the gears when you drive a loud V8 with a 4 speed. However, I don't really do burnouts anymore (afraid of breaking something that will be hard to replace) and I don't redline the motors. This guy did a great job with his video and is still driving it like he stole it. Motor definitely had a cam. Very cool video. Thanks for sharing.

I'm just a young wannabee but I was raised on this! My second car was a '64 GTO with a '66 421 and Tri Power (first car was the '65 Le Mans convert). I sold the GTO to pay tuition... But after feeling the goosebumps from that video, I am now looking outside at my "new" '64 project, tucked away under tons of tarps (and 10" of snow!). I need to get that thing going! If that video showed a younger driver or some cable TV show hype-dude, it wouldn't be nearly as cool. You guys who grew up with these cars are the real thing. Us thirty-somethings just love to hear the stories of how it really was, and really is. Thanks! |

Got to agree - watching that really makes me want to go fire mine up and go for a cruise. But it was 1 degree this morning...:(
Today UPS delivered my new BMR upper and lower rear control arms along with the braces today. It's a winter project to upgrade the rear after having put tubular A-arms, Koni coil-overs and Wilwood front discs last spring. I can hardly wait to get them on - but won't be able to really test them out until next spring.
