restored electric antenna for 67 gto
 

Is there anyone out there that can replace the electronic antenna mast, tip and go through the motor for my 67 gto. Mine is pitted and not straight. It does go up and down but I'd like it all checked out. Klaus Wojak used to do work but I think he is retired now. The mast is very long and I need the correct tip.

PM GT182 about that, he knows a guy where he got one rebuilt.

I've done many of them. Do you have a mast, that's the hard part to get?

Bob, bet you'd know... Wasn't there a company or individual out of Indianapolis that was reproducing the antenna & restoring original Pontiac power antennas. This goes back quite a ways, maybe 20 years... Have several big car power antennas & need to pull them out & to ID them, test them, & sell or trade them.

I'm curious on how difficult they are to rebuild. I've got parts for several non working ones( including a nos mast) that I've purchased over the years off of ebay.

They're not hard to replace the mast but if you're trying to convert fullsize to "A" body and don't know the correct length and rotation of the tube and have the right adapters you can be in for some big headaches. Some on the soldering can also be tricky and you need to make sure you have the right mast.

Thanks for the info. I just had brain tumor surgery last friday so now I'm checkin my emails. I've contracted Frank he sounds like the right guy for the job for my antenna. I'm still looking for a 1967 smog pump A.I.R. hose that connects the pump to the air cleaner. Slightly S shapped.
