Anyone watching Klondike?

I liked the show very much, I would love it if i win the 50K.

I watched all 3 nights, those guys were consumed with gold fever.
I thought it was very well done and realistic to the point they built a whole Dawson City set for the movie from photos and sketches from the time.

No.

It was great for the entertainment value.....but some things wrong

1. Wolves don't eat people
2. Wrong Indian Band.
3. The RCMP did not lose all those folks and they did have a better hand on law and order
4. It does not snow or get dark at night in July, reminder that it is the" Land of the Midnight Sun"

Just the previews and commercials were all I needed to see.

Nope, don't watch it.

Tho I do keep an eye on that Klondike Bar in the freezer so the Warden doesn't eat it.... it's MINE I say.

After watching all parts. I thought it could have been way better. Just seemed a little soft.

I agree, so far a little disappointed.

Watched first one twice with teen since he hadn't seen it, and it didn't improve.

I think it would have been much better if they covered the historical aspect better, down in the dirt and more of a hands on process of gold mining, living conditions, how they got there..... all that more instead of the "soap opera" approach of relationships, and all the drama.

Maybe it will improve...?

Since the movie wasn't fiction, and is based on actual events and people of that time, it would be difficult to make it as a fictional movie is made.

I have to disagree with you here. I think at the beginning it said that the movie was "Based on Fact" or something like that. The way I see it is that there was Klondike, end of fact.

If you watched the show that was on the first night before the first show aired it detailed the people, they were real people as well as real events that happened.

At the conclusion last night they chronicled what happened to the characters after the gold rush in the Klondike when they died and what they did with their lives after the gold rush. Jack London was one of the people in the show and was a very well known writer that died in 1919 and was at Dawson City during the gold rush, It was based on actual people and their lives during that time.

At the opening it says based on actual events, not based on facts.

Tough crowd here.
