bought a 400 casting 9799914
It's factory 2 bolt with 4 bolt option drilled by the factory it's a 69 date of build . Problem is I can't find the 2 letter code anywhere on the block where anyone know where it's located . I paid 350.00 for the motor on accident guy only wanted 300 for it . Came with heads can't find the castings for the heads either ... so far I seen a 70 on the block the date of build. And car vin number but no way to decode it . This engine supposedly came from a 1970 Pontiac executive ....any help would be appreciated it maybe for sale if it's a restores delight I am building a 64 grand prix was going 496 but when I seen the low price plans changed
