is the top of a 65 gto dash supposed to be flat and everthing else approx. 75 % gloss? my interior is black.

Top is 0 gloss or 'suede'. Everything else approx. 60%. Southern Auto Color mixed some of the 'suede' in lacquer for me. They've got a store in Cornelia; and probably one closer to you.

X2. Flat on the top and 60% for the rest. Semi-gloss is really, really close to 60%. And flat is pretty close to suede, if you want to rattle can it.

The suede paint actually has a texture to it that you can't duplicate with a flat black out of a spray bomb. The spray bomb will give you the right color, but not the texture.

True, I tried it on my LeMans when I was 19. I remember the original dash top looked fuzzier than my rattle can could reproduce, but level of gloss (none) appeared the same.

Is there some type of additive in the paint for the top of the dash to make is look like suede?
