WIW 98 SGM z28

Its not a Pontiac but close cousin and I thought there would be members here who would have an opinion on the value of this car.
I purchased this car with the intent of pulling the motor/trans and swapping it into my 64 tempest. I am having second thoughts due to the condition of the car and the low number of Z28s produced in Sport Gold Metallic. 301 1998 SGM Z28s with automatic built. 1998 Z28 auto. 130k miles. rebuilt trans with shift kit, rust free body with a couple small scrapes, everything works including A/C. After market stereo. Stock original chrome wheels. Original exhaust with cats removed. Seat bottoms need recovering and carpets are dirty. Runs and drives great. What is it worth? thanks |
I would think its worth 5 or 6 K, but that's just my uneducated guess, I don't know much about Z-28's. I would never put an LS1 in a classic Pontiac like your 64 Tempest, rather, I would do that to another make.

Yea that seems like a reasonable price. With that many miles, that might be the edge of your range. There are just so many out there with better mileage.

After reading some posts on the Camaro web sites it seems the low production color adds little to the value of the car. So I guess I will proceed with my original plans.
thanks |
