Eheads vs Tigers
Just curious I'm seeing all the threads about the E head and so forth. Why are people going with the Ehead over the Tiger? If the same money was spent on a Tiger head what would be the end results?
|
yes the tiger is a better platform. I just have owned these since the 90s and am having fun. KRE hps are better too as well as some non traditional pontiac stuff.

For me its more about goals than platform... Not that platform doesnt matter, it does... But some want or need more challenge then simply trying to duplicate whats already been done. Think about it... we chose Pontiac vs a Chev or something else... alot of reasons for that... but if we are talking racing then we are talking goals and challenges more so than easier paths. Heck I'd love to see or do things not yet done with even old iron heads...
But to your question... same money/effort should produce results we havent seen yet... and if it cant then it is just an expensive exercise, a learning point, and time to consider a do over. |

If Mike had chosen CV1's the result would have been the same or better, IMHO. |
Oh chit, the CV seed has been planted.

Now, for a CV1 to do it! I think there will be ALOT, of happy people. Including some of the Ehead crowd. |

Class rules affected head choice in the past. And years ago 460cfm out of Tigers was a dream for investment.
Remember when 375 cfm was the standard? People already had E-heads so stepping up was cost effective for what they wanted to do. Times have changed and depending on the level ya want. Kinda hard sometimes to flip heads ya invested a lot in to step up when Pontiac people 'can' be cheap. LOL. |
