Cheap Anniversary?
Wife and I's 31st was this past Saturday. Last year we went away since it was the 30th, this year we decided to stay closer to home.
But, rather than go out for dinner or a show she said she wanted to go fishing. :fish: "Ok, ok, if I have to... Jeez woman..." :p Packed up what we needed for the hour drive to the family lake house to sit on the dock, put some lights out and fish for crappie for a few hours. Got about a dozen, enough for a good fish fry Sunday. Anyway she made the comment about how cheap I got off not taking her out, so I added it up for her. Gas $20 Bait $10 License $10 Wings and snacks $20 Beer and Wine $15 Told her our cheap date was still about $75  It was worth it though, good company, good fishing, good fish fry, and most important, happy wife. She "makes" me take her fishing on our anniversary every few years. What a pain... |
Happy Anniversary! I had my 35th Anniversary last month.:)

NICE, also congrats
I havent had a cheap anniversary in a LONG LONG TIME |
Last year was our 35th and the wife wanted to go to Europe. I told her no because she didn't use what I got her last year (a cemetery plot). Jon

Congrats Ho428. Even sitting home to celebrate isn't cheap. At least you had a good time and a great fish fry. Nothing beats crappy, yellow perch, walleye, or trout out in the open air, at camp, or at home.

Sounds very nice.
Too bad the fish were crappie. :bolt: |
