69 Deck Lid ?

My 69 GTO deck lid seems to have some play in the middle of it. Does the skin commonly break away from the brace or is this the way they always were?
Also I have a 69 Judge deck lid with spoiler holes and was told there are two different designs for this model year. Is that fact or fiction? If it is true how can I determine which design I have?

It is common for the skin to break away and get floppy. Not the optimal result however. The early deck lids had no embossed area for the spoiler holes.

To clarify further, the deck lid inner structure was modified with four holes
in the inner structure where the spoiler studs would go. All that had to be done was drill
the outer skin from the inside where the inner holes were already punched out. The early deck
lids that were installed before the Judge option came out had no holes in the inner structure
for the spoiler leg studs. Once the holes were put in the inner structure that is all the assembly plants used regardless of whether the car was a Judge or not.
Also, as far as the outer skin coming unbonded from the inner structure on the deck lids, the Judge models were especially bad about this because amazingly,
the way the spoiler was shaped, like an airplane wing, it actually created lift instead of pushing the car down in the back! This lift pulls the outer skin
loose from the inner structure because the spoiler is only bolted to the outer skin.
