This is supercarbobs car and belonged to Jeff Harper before that, looks good and should do well at auction! I know its not all original, but I like it and the color also!

Cool car! Never knew that Carolina Blue was available. Would love to see the PHS and cowl tag on this one.

Neat car. Ditto on the PHS and cowl tag.

I wouldn't take an auction ad for its word, but it doesn't imply Carolina Blue was available.

Nice clean car. Looks like a nice restoration of the underbody.:)

Very unique and cool! A morph between all things good to make it sweeter! Well done too.

Nice Job Bob!

I was thinking about this car just the other day.....looks really nice.

"Carolina Blue" was Robins Egg Blue, if I remember correctly......I know Jim M from PHS called me on this car when I ran PHS, and remember him saying he had seen some Chevys come down the line this color when he was there, but never had seen a Pontiac (at the time of the call...many years ago)

Special Paint Code 6.....iirc.

* couple of posts/threads on this car on PY, one when I sold it...

A relative in NC had a 69 396 Chevelle SS in same color he bought new, just home from VN and I've seen a few others make/models over the years when I was buying....recall a Buick Promo in Carolina Blue too.

Saw another "Carolina Blue" on Mecum site the other day: 69 Z28 that's supposed to go in$ 200K range based on its attributes......

He's not too much of a pig is he????

Can't blame a guy by tryin. A dealer makes they're money when buying. I'd say well bought. I was there and thought he stole it.

I was going to use this one for a street project since body was so nice...but couldnt bring myself to ruin a #s original special paint car at the time.

It had one of the cleanest deck /trunk lid I had ever seen on any A Body.

Original engine when I sold it, someone added a 4bbl before me but had the 2bbl when I sold it. This late in the game, and the changin tastes we see in the hobby, the 455 does make it very interesting.

Some old pictures including Data Plate;

JL, I notice in your pics that the lower dash looks like it has the engine turned insert. I was under the impression that was GTO only. Do you know if that was original on the GT as well?

I'm curious as my '72 GT had a very faded engine turned insert when I bought it, but I couldn't convince myself it was original. I opted for the matching woodgrain overlay when I repaired my dash, which I do like the look of, but the question has lingered in my mind... Was the engine turned insert original on the GT?

Thanks! :)

Really? 15k markup? People get mad at me if I try to make 2 grand on a car. I've talked to him and he always tells you your car ain't worth **** unless he owns it.
