DRIVER'S SIDE HORN
 

The driver's side horn is not working on my '68 Lemans. The passenger side still works. Since the passenger side is fed from the driver's side, I am assuming that the horn itself is bad. I also tested this by removing the horn and using jumper cables to try to get it to sound. I was not really sure if I was doing it correctly.

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody knows if the driver's side horn is the low tone or the high tone. Since I can only hear one sound, I can't tell which it is.

On some horns it has the note cast into the horn. I am not sure about a 1968 horn. Later GM horns show the note. :)

Thanks for the info. The broken horn has a "C" stamped on the side that says Delco Remy and "N2" on the other side. Maybe it is safe to assume it is a C note, but then is that the low or the high?

Not 100% sure, but I think the smaller horn is low note and the bigger one is high note.

I can check tomorrow. But, one would assume that the larger horn would have a lower pitch due to size/length of resonance chamber...
