Post Coupe Rear Quarter Glass Window Channel
 

Working on a 1966 Buick GS post coupe which has the same glass channel at the GTOs. When I removed the glass channel strips from the car, they came out in pieces, some of which may have been my fault.

Each piece is riveted into a short metal piece which bolts to the body behind the rear side panel.

I've looked in the PY catalog along with others and don't see a made to fit part, or a length of glass channel with the correct width and height.

What are people currently using as a new part?

I've called Restoration Specialties and they said they could make new ones if I sent what I have to them, but the quote seemed a bit high.

I looked for those also...nobody reproduces them that I could find. I'm curious what the quote was if you don't mind sharing....Thanks

It wasn't a formal quote in writing but it was around $130 per side I I recall correctly.

I have a sport coupe, same problem. I bought the channel and clips from them and made my our. piece of cake. really not very hard to do.

I was thinking the same thing and buying a length of glass channel. I'll probably go that route.

Just wasn't sure if there was someone repopping them and I hadn't found them yet.

YES, WWW.RESTORATIONSPECIALTIES.COM ( IN THE INFO IT SAYS THEY HAD BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 1974, THAT IS THE ONE) IF YOU LOOK IN THE CATALOG YOU WILL SEE WWHWT YOU NEED. OR CALL THEM AND TELL THEM MAKE AND MODEL AND THEY CAN FIX YOU UP. I BOUGHT FROM THEM AND MADE MY OWN. MEASURE THE U CHANNEL, DRILL AND RIVET OR SMALL SCREWS AND NUTS (I used screw/nut) INSTALL CLIPS TO BACK SIDE AND INSTALL ON CAR. THEY ARE GREAT TO WORK WITH
