Second gen front fender question

1 Attachment(s)
I just picked up a new project 1980 TA 301 4bbl auto non t-top, it's from OH so it has some rust not bad but some. the one front fender inter brace is gone. The question I have is all second gen front fenders the same(I thought they were) or is there differences year to year.

plans are LM7 and 4l60e( since I already have it)
posted a pic comments welcome

Thanks Gary

There are quite a few different versions of the original 2nd Gen bird fenders due to different stamped steel leading edge backing bracket that were formed to attach the different front valances. also, thete are the early rails versus the '73+ style rails. An original '79-81 T/A fender would serve you best, as the spoiler holes would be located properly.

Thank you Ol Pinion Head

After looking at new fenders I thought there must be differences.
The car is really kinda of unique, a time capsule it is complete right down to the vacuum pump the pancake cat, and the A/C still has some charge. the car runs but the carb is total junk, took it apart to clean it and the main jets are completely corroded. 80k on it I believe it original judging by the interior not a rip or tear

Note: Don't be surprised - or worried IMO - if you run across T/A fenders that have two sets of fender flare (spoiler) mounting holes...as the design changed from the "hard plastic" ABS last used in 1978 to the "soft flexible" style for 1979 to 1981.

I've run across 1979 T/As with dual mounting hole front fenders only visible with the flares removed...others here can give the OEM correctness, etc.

GM replacements had the dual bolt holes to cover two models.

My 81 has dual holes both fenders but one I know was a replacement-had some brown paint on the inside.

So bottom fender bolt in front near the spoiler-what does the speed nut go on-core support?
