It has been over a year and my memory is fuzzy so others can fill in or correct as need. My fender extensions were off already as was my bumper. I believe that the bumper has to be at least loosened so that it can tilt down enough to remove the extensions as I believe you have to remove them together to get the housings out. Make sure that you use a few layers of blue tape on your quarters anywhere that the bumper could contact. Remove the bezels from the back, clean lenses, and reinstall on new bezels. I used machine screws cut to the correct length as opposed to the studs nuts and washers. Use new gaskets including the one for the thin one for the extension to quarter and the new thick gasket that goes around the housing as it is fastened back to the quarter. Taillightt /quarter extension is held on by a number of 7/16 speed nuts (I think 7/16). I think you will find the thick gasket too thick especially on the end that is towards the center tail panel- i had to trim mine some to draw the extensions down tight to the tail panel. 2 1/2" blue tape is cheap scratch insurance. Hope this helps some.

Minor step but very important.

The PONTIAC tail panel trim (bezel) needs to be removed first as it over laps the tail light bezels, then proceed with the above procedure.

Yes - mine was still off the car when I did it and so I didn't even think of it.
