4th gen manual trans

I know that there is a section here for 4th gen cars but it doesn't get much traffic so that's why I'm looking for an answer here. Can anyone tell me if the 6 speed manual trans from a 1997 LT1 T/A is a bolt in replacement for a 2001 LS1 T/A ?
