AMES Woodgrain Insert - 68 GTO

So I did my PY forum research on woograin vinyl inserts for my 68 GTO and concluded that PY was sells the best available product based on original thickness. I contacted AMES and they only sell there REM version which is just vinyl thickness. If there are any AMES representatives out there I'd like to know if you have any PY inventory and if so, how do I purchase it? I'm also open to any used originals in mint condition if there out there. Thanks

I checked the inventory and we had none in stock to give to Ames.

The supplier of this insert ran into production problems early last year. The last we got them was Feb of 2014. So I'm sorry to say that this option is on indefinite hold.

Thanks for addressing my question. Bad news, but definitely helpful. If you have any suggesting on what to buy I would appriecate that.

One other question if you dont mind. I was buying RPI785P (parchment spray) from PY. Ames is not sure what that P/N that will cross over to with their P/N system. Any ideas on that?

Thanks

That's one of my tasks. I plan on calling him to see what the status is. If I find anything out, I'll post here.

For the paint, we sent 42 cans of rpi785p to them on Tuesday. I'd think it would take about 1 week for them to check everything in.

Was just checking in to see if there was an update regarding the 68 dash woodgrain. I spoke with Ames and it looks like you need to use there aluminum dash carrier because the woodgrain is so thin. They didnt have a thickness on the carrier.

I believe that Performance Restorations may have sold their dyes and their vinyl source to Mr. G's. If someone wants to make a call, confirm and check back with us, we'd all be appreciative. :)
