Driver's seat issue
 

Guys, today I was going over the car looking to find any issues that I should be working on, and I noticed that the driver's seat back portion does not lock into position. The silver button thing had fallen off so I put it on and noticed it wouldn't lock into place, it just can flop forward and back. I took the silver button thing off thinking it was constantly pushing the release switch, but that isn't the case. Is there a way to adjust this seat so it will lock? The hole in the back of the seat of the driver's side looks exactly like the passenger side, so nothing is visually out of whack. I did take a picture, but I doubt it is relevant

Problem solved. I took both back panels off and the driver's had the clip that holds the button in jammed so it wouldn't function. This one was easier than I thought.

Nice! Glad to see someone else working through all the small issues. They drive me crazy, but easier to cross off the list than items like "swap trans" and "find rod knock"

...and better than "vibration" while driving... That could be a million things... :O congrats on solving the issue - feels good, huh?! :D

The little amount of driving I got with my car before parking it was atrocious...the vibration almost knocked your teeth out. I haven't driven it yet, but I am sure hoping that replacing the factory suspension (all but 1 ball joint?) will fix this issue.

YOu start with the simple stuff first and work your way up from there.

• Wheel - have them spun on a balancer to see if they are bent/out of round
• Check tires for out of round, separation, etc
• Check loose suspension components

If this does not resolve, then

• Look at harmonic dampener
• Look at drive shaft for balance
• etc
