65 and 66 carport find
 

:D A friend of mine told me about a 65 gto for sale so I called and made arrangements to meet him. As I walked up to the back of the house I saw several metal car ports with cars covered and a shop with a few storage sheds and junk everywhere... a true Georgia compound! The gentleman who owned explained health problems and wanted to do some pile culling. first he showed a 66 ventura missing a seat, fender and door/hood hinges. then a 65 gto missing front clip. My buddy haggled with him and got him to 1500 with a 65 original 3 deuce manifold..I paid the man and said i would be back Saturday. I rolled up with some tires and a rollback started loading cars. suddenly the guy starts pointing at buildings and we get all the hoods, fenders,interior parts, grills,bumpers...well EVERYTHING! and some extra hoods and fenders! Best buy I have ever made,, Then to top it off he calls me a week later and I pickup another truckload of parts...:D

Now that's a lucky find. :thumbup:

Does he have a flywheel for a 389/400 4 speed to sell? I need a good one if he does.

I just bought one new for 85.00 at my local parts plus store....

That's great. I'll have to check with the one here tomorrow. The one in NY is 125.00 used and out of a 68 GTO.

Got the flywheel from NY yesterday. Out of a 68 400 GTO. Looks great. Just a few inconsequential marks on it so it gonna work great. They buff out. ;) LOL
