dash swap 77 wagon?

Planning on thrashing on my 77GL safari wagon this winter. What year dashes will interchange? My dash is toast.:boom:

Your GL should have the GP style Dash, so I would think 73-77 GP, 73-75 Grand Am, 75-77 Grand Lemans , and the 77 Can Am.

Of course the regular lemans style dash will fit also, 73-77 it just looks different.

x2 on what camerjeff said. All those dash's will work. Only thing is your going to pay a good price for a dash as the 73-77 dash's are now getting as expensive as the 70-71 & 72 dash's. A dash from a Grand Prix is going to be your best bet though.

ok, thanks for the info. Never see any of the 73-77 a body cars around my part of the country.

Also, be aware that the console vs. non-console dash is slightly different. If you grab a dash out of a console car it will look slightly odd down near the radio area if you don't have one in your wagon.

Actually the dash is the same, but the plastic radio housing is different between a console dash and non-console dash. The radio housing for a console is made to fit to the console, and the non-console radio plate is rounded off on the bottom with an ashtray. Whichever situation he has, he should already have the correct radio housing to put in the new dash.

I could have sworn they were one piece & different. Maybe I was just too dumb to get mine off way back when ;-) To think that I turned down a great red dash because it was a column shifted car back in the day...

Ben , bad news you passed up a good red dash, the dashs are all the same it's the dash pieces that are different. It would be way to expensive to make 2 different dashs for those cars & much cheaper to make the attaching parts for them different.
