Carb Restoration by Eric at Vintage Musclcar Carbs :-)
I wanted to give a shout-out to Eric at Vintage MuscleCar Parts Carb Restoration and Rebuidling, who did an absolutely amazing job in restoring a 1971 455 carb that I got for free along with an intake, when I bought a 455 block for my Grandmother's 1975 Firebird project. It was done perfectly, on time (a couple weeks), and very reasonably priced.
(Gramma's car thread) http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...ghlight=gramma You have to see the process to truly appreciate what he did. From de-warping the horrendously warped top and carb main body, to decrusting and replating the parts. Nothing short of amazing. And he runs them in on an actual engine in his shop to make sure everything is working properly. Here is a link to some of the photos of the carb work on the sister thread over at Yenko.net: http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...pics/449019/21 And if you need any carb work done I definitely recommend Eric's work. http://www.vintagemusclecarparts.com/ Before: http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/IMG_1246.jpg http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32009-002.jpg http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32014-006.jpg http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32013-009.jpg and after: http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32634-005.jpg http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32636-007.jpg http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/t...-32638-009.jpg |
