4 Piston vs Later Single Piston Wheel Clearance
Hi Guys:
I was wondering if I should expect there to be any difference in the clearance I would get on 14X7 wheels between single and 4 piston calipers? Thanks to all that can help. Chemnick:old: |
The 4-piston calipers are generally known to have less clearance than the single-piston calipers.
Case in point - the 14X6" Hurst wheels will need a 1/4" or 5/16" wheel spacer when used with a '67-'68 4-piston disc brake setup, whereas a single-piston '69 -'72 disc brake setup clears with no spacer. |
Thanks for the reply. I would assume the 14X7 Rally II wheels will be OK for sure with single piston disc brakes (front).
