Actually you will NOT see any of those vehicles. Why? Because the photos are done in HDR ( High Dynamic Resolution.. 3 photos made into one) and modified in Post processing. The vehicles do NOT look like that in "real life" . This is heavily done with trains, and basically turns things into a cartoon...good for a fantasy I suppose..

I am not a big restomod lover, but this car flips my switch.

I do NOT understand the missing side marker/turn signals, they are "frenched" from the factory and painted body color bezels. Its also a safety issue, but hey, this car isnt driven, 500 bucks insurance for 1 year I bet.. ( actually Illegal for inspection in most states)
The back bumper, I would have done in "black chrome" vs black paint, giving it at least "some" contrast. The tail lights are cool, and mostly stock looking Digitails link here> https://digi-tails.com/1970-73-ponti...l-light-panels Front lights >https://digi-tails.com/1969-73-ponti...r-light-panels I prefer the Recarro door panels on a Mod car, and any black with red stitching really looks hot with it. Why is it for sale, by the Builder? Too nice to drive?, customer backed out after the 100K invested and didnt finish? Easily buy 2 brand new Trans am concepts for this price. Its nice enough, aside from the common undercoating bottom For same money he could have built the car with a 350 or 400 Pontiac LSP with same Hp ( yes I said Pontiac LSP) Disclaimer: all of this is my Humble opinion 140K.. lots O cake, and im sure the cars build was over 120K |

Bob, does this tweaked black Formula flip anything! Thought you might enjoy these pictures :)

Every car in this thread is amazing! The early 2nd gens looks flat out sinister in black.
|
that last formula is stunning. don't know I have ever seen paint look so deep and straight
what do you think it would cost to have a job like that done??? |
|
dang bob, why paint such a good looking car
|
I agree - unless the other side looks like a mud fence...
|
That black formula The 1st one , it takes a lot of time & a lot of sanding & priming to get a car that flat & straight. The paint is just a little of that car it's the prep work to get it like that. Also I wouldn't paint that car if it were mine, unless your going to turn it into a trailer queen. If you get the paint any better then what you have your going to be afraid to drive it because it will get dirty or scratched . Leave it the way it is & enjoy driving it, & when it get dirty wash it & drive it some more. Also one thing I noticed is the grilles in the snout of that formula is the same material I use to make the grilles in the hoods of the 73 GTO's which are the NASA hoods. If any one is looking for that for their car I can supply it for you. Hopefully I'm not stepping on any ones toes by saying that here , but if I am I'm sorry , but there may be some of you that may want some of that material for your cars too, it looks great coming at you .If asking this is a problem I'll ask the mods to remove this post if I'm posting in here wrong.

The problem is it looks just good enough from 20 feet, but closer than that and it get's needy. If it was original paint I wouldn't touch it, but it's been painted at least once, and I suspect some spots more than that. It's a cool car that deserves to look it's best....
.....and then there is the fact that I am bored and OCD. |
totally understand now, I thought it was original paint
