71 formula dash

did any formula in 71 come with the trans am dash . also how can you tell if the car was a ram ait ,there is no engine in the car

no '71 Formula would have come from the factory with the T/A dash bezel. Ram air would show up on the PHS or build sheet. It was only optional in '71 on the 455HO so quite of few of them didn't even get the ram air.

As stated by RicksGTO, the silver/aluminum colored bezel that went around the gauges was only available on the trans am. All other Firebird/Formulas would have come with the simulated wood grain bezel.

However, if you were referring to the instrumentation, all trans ams came with full instrumentation (rally gauges) as standard equipment, but the same instrumentation was available on a Firebird/Formula as an additional cost option.
