1969 Ram AIR IV 722 Heads
Asking Price: $3,500.00 or possible partial trade for aluminum heads or other Pontiac performance items.
What is known about the heads: • When purchased they already had several modifications including: o Intake ports were ported and polished inside but the stock Ram AIR IV gaskets still fit. o Exhaust Ports have been opened up to 2” o Exhaust Crossovers have been filled with some sort of metal block fill o Heads appear to have been shaved or just resurfaced many times over the years o Chambers have been opened up to retail factory 71CCs o Factory Ram AIR IV valves are installed o Valve springs will support up to a .600 lift (per the shop that inspected them) o When block fill was added to crossover apparently a torch was used to smooth out the metal and they cracked the inside of the port which was pressure checked and found not to be leaking. The shop I used coated the water jacket with a Teflon coating to prevent any future leaking if the crack worsened. • Additional Details: o Valve job performed with new seals about 5k miles ago o Run much better with high octane racing fuel than street gas o Currently running on a 1968 GTO with a .060 over 400CID with a Ram AIR IV camshaft and 1.65 roller rockers. o Made about 25 passes at the track last summer/fall using gas only and no nitrous. |
I will entertain offers on these Ram Air IV heads if there is any interest out there otherwise I guess they will go on the shelf when I install the aluminum heads.

Reducedagain to $2500
Price reduction to help cover my cost for the aluminum Edelbrock RPM heads I am going to be installing. They run great on my .060 Pontiac 400 Engine for cast iron heads.
