Want to buy - 1970 Orbit Orange GTO

I am looking to buy a 1970 Orbit Orange GTO after selling my 73 red Trans Am. Not looking for a restored car but something I can update without much, if any , bodywork. Matching numbers not really needed but no hacked cars.
1.Must be an Orbit Orange car.
2. No rebody/ vin change.
3. Prefer a manual trans.
4. Prefer a 455 but a 400 O.K.
If anyone has a lead , please post here or call.
Thank you.

You do know Orbit orange was a Judge only color, right?

Well, no. I didn't know that.
I did read in the DeMauro book that " Carousel Red was made famous in 1969 by Judge, so Orbit Orange was offered as a special judge color for the 1970 model year." Also, in that same book, DeMauro mentions that in 1969 and after February, that any GTO hue could be had for a Judge.
If a buyer in 1970 wanted a non-Judge GTO could he order it as a special paint code option?
Interesting.

Interesting.

The 'after February' quote was for 69's only. Yes he could have possibly special ordered OO in 70 on a non Judge GTO but its pretty unlikely you will find one with a 4 speed 455.

I was planning to change/ modify if the engine/ trans was 400/ automatic 400.
I just like the OO color .

Your trans am was a nice car, where did it go to?

Yes, the T/A was a great car and I miss how it looked, handled and especially how comfortable the deluxe seats were. I sold it to a great caretaker who prefers to remain incognito.

It went to a good home, he'll take very good care of it!
