replacing door molding tips wanted

Started tearing out the old, damaged rubber, bit by bit, and was hoping for some tips on the the installation of the new weatherstripping. I did spot some mold under one section.

1) Sealant?
2) Should I prime/paint the inside metal groove?
3) Any other ideas?

Rick,
I would definitely use sealant. The recommended product is 3M weatherstrip adhesive; https://secure.amesperf.com/qilan/De...A&web_access=Y
Also, I would not paint or prime the inside groove. From my experience, it just needs to be clean and dry before installing the new weatherstrip. Hope this helps.
