My 1962 race car
2 Attachment(s)
Been racing this for quite a few years and stuck in the low 13 second range. Built a new '64 389 stroker engine and first run off the trailer was a 12.46 at 107.9 mph. This is not a light weight car, only removed the air and heater parts to make it easier to work on the engine. I'm quite pleased with it and don't plan on trying to go any faster.

Don't have to fast when you're cool. ☺☺

Very cool car, have fun and enjoy the new engine and its performance.
Get the engine to perform at its absolute best before moving up in performance and you will be the happiest. Tom V. |
Love the 62's. My Dad has one that he's owned since 64, and I have a 62 9-passenger wagon project. I think the best he ever ran was 12.90's.
Never let it just sit. They were meant to be enjoyed. |
Congrats! 13's to 12's is a nice improvement. When I went to an automatic transmission from a Muncie, I made the same jump. I guess it was the point of no return because I've been running points ever since. I like the name "Deputy Dog".

Nice car - and congrats on your new numbers!

I like the name "Deputy Dog
I'm running three race cars and the all have the DOG themed name. I'm from a reservation in Nebraska and my reservation name is Joseph Threedogs. So my car names are Reservation Dog, Deputy Dog and Junk Yard dog. Junk Yard Dog is a 1981 Camaro put together with all my spare or left over Pontiac parts from other projects, it isn't finished yet. |
Very cool car. Congrats.
