Race Deck/Snap Loc Floor
 

Is anyone using the above mentioned garage flooring?
If so, comments please

Has been in mine for 13 years.Like it a lot,would only do black next time.Im too big of a pig to have red and grey.Tom

I have it and really like it. Easy to cut and install. Just make sure you buy a saw blade that is for composites/plastic. Durable and easy to clean.

Good to know. This is what ive been planning on doing. To much work and time to epoxy floor. Lot of info on the Garage Journal.

Epoxy floor was actually very simple if the garage is empty. Did mine 6 years ago now. Still looks great and awesome with oil spills. Easiest clean up.

I just built another garage and haven't decided on how to deal with the floor. Have epoxy in my current garage and it has held up reasonably well. Found it pretty easy to apply. How does race deck hold up to welding and other abuse??

what about rolling around an engine stand/hoist/jack or having the car on rollers to move it around the garage?

No issue with a engine stand.No issue with a engine dolly have not used car rollers.Tom

Just don't buy the cheaper kind like I did. Had black/white checker pattern. But when the sun hit it the black would expand just enough the warp the whole thing.

So this house had name brand Race Deck in it when I bought it. 5 car garage. I ripped it out and sold it. Why you ask? It's nearly impossible to keep clean. That, combined with the witches brew of road chemicals they use around here seeping through the floor made me want to get it out.

Also, my westward facing garage caused the entire floor to buckle each day when the sun would warm it up. One would think they would adjust the material to control the expansion rate. And when I say buckle, I mean like 45-90 ish degrees at the joints depending on temperature.

A nice epoxy floor is so much easier to keep clean it's not even funny. Put some antiskid in the mix and you have a really tough, easy to clean floor that will last forever.

If you just park your cars and don't work on them, then Race Deck might be attractive...but if you actually work on them I wouldn't recommend it.

kind of hard to justifiy the almost $2000.00 cost to do a 15x29 garage floor with a red boarder and possibly black and gray [white probably hard to keep clean]

I have it as well. Have a few dents and scratches in it but I bought extra tiles to cover. The biggest headache I have is that it expands when the sun hits it and becomes a tripping hazard near the front door to the garage. The 4 post lift sits on it about 4 feet from the front door so it can't expand and really swells up there. I REALLY don't like that but otherwise it is as advertised.

My floor does not buckle or expand at all. I left a 1/4 inch gap around the edges to allow for expansions and I installed it in the summer. I keep it clean with a swiffer wet jet and roll jacks and have moved a ar on skates around with no issues. My skates do have the larger nylon wheels.
