is anyone going or thinking about going to south Dakota on aug.25-28. if you have tried to find rooms in deadwood or anything close by forget it . they are long gone.. I may have two rooms in lead . only 2 miles from the show I have two days fri and sat.

Fun show and great location! Been awhile but I've been to this event. We go out to the Hills a couple times a year. Be sure to cruise the Black Hills while there. You won't regret it. Spearfish Canyon not too far away. Deadwood and Lead are old gold mining towns, check out Adams Museum in Deadwood for history. Other attractions further south - Mount Rushmore, etc. Along that route, Hwy 385 I believe, you'll go through Boondocks, a quirky little automobilia stop. 50's, 60's car related stuff with a small amusement park. Too many things to see and do in two days, be sure to stop at Wall Drug on the way out if yer drivin'.
Hmm, retiring shortly, might have to make another trip out to the show. That weekend always used to be reserved for the big Pontiac Show in Gretna Neb., but no more.

yes the places are great. my son and I have been going fro the last 3 years. and off and on before that. am not sure were to post this, but next fri I will cancel the rooms and they will be long gone, I would like to give someone a chance at these so they don't have to camp out or drive to rapid city or ?? its a super party thanks mark
